Christmas Take Two!

Hope y'all had a Merry Christmas! 

 This year we all celebrated in Florida with my Mom and Stepdad!  60's during the day, 40s at night.  Now that is my kind of weather!  We have all sorts of Christmas traditions and no matter how old we get they continue on.  Here are a few... 

Our Cookie Decorating Contest!  We take this very seriously.

Jeff judged the competition this year.  Here are the winners.  Not to brag, but I won!  Nathan got 2nd, Clay 3rd and Katie... well, she just isn't very good at the whole cookie thing. 

We moved right into our Annual game of Charades that night.  Me and Katie dominated, so we ended up with a bunch of quitters on our hands.  

Jeff did ok too.

My step-brother, Jamison, and his wife, Jen, welcomed thier first child into the world Christmas Day!  A beautiful little girl, Leighton :)  Here are few pics of my mom and Jeff holding sweet Leighton the day after Christmas.  Congrats to Jamison and Jen! :)

Christmas Take One!

Since we'll be in Florida for Christmas this year we spent this past weekend celebrating Christmas early in Jackson.  :)

It took us a little bit to get out of bed (We had to wait for Santa to finish up)

BUT... once we did we got to go downstairs to this! 

Before we could stop her Tuxey jumped right in and finished Santa's leftover cookies.  Yes, her shirt says Santa Paws.  Isn't she cute? 

While Tux finished up her breakfast the rest of us started opening our gifts!

I promise I had gifts too, but since I was the camera operator I didn't take any of myself :)  To wrap up a great morning we spent the afternoon relaxing by a fire and had dinner at Tico's.  This was my first visit to Tico's and let me tell you... It was amazing!  I'd say we had a pretty great Christmas.  

'Tis the Season... for Tacky Christmas Parties

Or should I say Wedding Showers?  Katie and Clay had thier first party on December 4th!  A group of us hosted a Tacky Christmas Shower for them in Jackson, MS.  We had such a good time.  It's always fun getting to catch up with old friends and celebrate your future family at once!

Catching up...

Wow!  These last 6 months have flown by.  That's no surprise considering how busy we've been.  It all started in July.  Katie and Clay got ENGAGED!  July 25th to be exact :)  They are absolutely perfect for eachother.  I can't imagine a better husband for Katie!  (Or a better brother-in-law for ME!)  Here are a few pics from our photo-op.

Next up, August 7th!  Nathan and I got MARRIED!  Our day was better than I ever imagined.  We are so happy and loving marriage.  He's my best friend, my rock, and I couldn't imagine a life without him.  Who knew things could be so good?  I love him! 

We had a beautiful wedding party too!

Our perfect wedding was followed by a really fun reception!  Or so I hear.

To wrap up our wedding weekend we jetted off to St. Lucia for the week!  A new busband, an ocean view, a butler and Piton beer made me one happy lady.
