Catching up...

It's been a little while since my last blog, but for good reason.  We've been busy in Best household.  The last two months have been non-stop and I wouldn't have it any other way.  Here's what we've been up to.

Most importantly, my beautiful sister got MARRIED last weekend.  What a perfect day.  She's was absolutely stunning and I couldn't have handpicked a better man for her.  I love my new brother-in-law!

Told you she was beautiful!
45 minutes before the ceremony :)

First Dance
And what wedding is complete without an awesome grooms cake?  How cool is this?  And yes, it's all cake.  Even the cowbell and paw prints.  Notice the "Beat Ole Miss" sticker on the cowbell :)

More pictures on Rachel's blog.  Isn't she a fabulous photographer!

What else have we done these past 2 months?  Well...

We've been to lots of parties to celebrate with Katie and Clay.  Showers, Engagement parties, luncheons, bachelorette party... they sure do have a lot of people who love them.  I don't have a lot of these pictures on my camera, but there are a ton on facebook!  I'm just not smart enough to save them and then upload on the blog.  Anyone care to explain?  Here's what I do have...
Jackson Shower
Bancorp South Shower
Brunch/Shower at Market in Atlanta
Flip in Atlanta
We went to Medieval Times for Valentines Day!  Romantic huh?  You may laugh, but I've been dying to go since we moved here.  Nathan surprised me with tickets.
Castle entrance
We were on the red team.  Our knight won... just sayin.
We got rid of Nathan's gas guzzling Tahoe and bought this beauty!  Picture isn't great, but you get the point.  We love her.

Nathan has spent a good part of March playing golf.  You see... when we lived in Memphis his clubs were stolen out of his car.  This was 2+ yrs ago, so it was time we broke down and bought him a new set!  The most annoying part... we bought the EXACT same kind.  Tough purchase to swallow for me.

We've celebrated both our birthdays.  Nathan's 29th in February and my 26th in March.  Geezzz.. time is flying.

That's about it for Feb and March.  We're now in the process of debating whether or not we're ready for an addition to our family.  Big decision!  Now I'm not talking about a child just yet, but another pup.  We have the most beautiful maltipoo, Tuxey, and she's ready for a sister.  We're thinking a chocolate brown cavapoo this time!  Our breeder had a new litter last week.  www.denasdoggies.com

Her face says it all.  "I want a sibling."
That's all for now!  I'll try and check in more often.

Beautiful Bride :)

Let me just tell you... My sister is going to be the most BEAUTIFUL bride ever!!  We spent this past weekend in Gulfport planning for her and Clay's wedding.  Bakery, Florist, Tux Shop, Reception venue, and hair and make up run through.  It was one busy weekend, but SO fun.  Her hair and make up looked unbelievable and I can't wait for you all to see her too.  March 26th!

That's all for now.  Have a wonderful day!

White Death 2K11

That's what Nathan called it anyway.

For those of you who don't watch the news... Atlanta went into total meltdown last week.  4 inches of snow followed by a quarter inch of ice shut this city DOWN.  The roads were unnavigable, the schools closed all 5 days, and businesses didn't consider opening.  I went back to work Wednesday (with approximately 2% of the Atlanta population) while Nathan enjoyed an additional 2.5 days on the couch. He worked a whopping 5 hours on Friday of last week only to have Monday off for MLK day.  Tough life!  We stayed parked on the couch while other locals went skiing or ice skating on Peachtree Street downtown and just so you know... this is a major street in Atlanta.

Tuxey HATED and I mean HATED the Snow.  We maybe got her to go "outside" 3 times until Thursday.  She'd start shivering and dart back inside as soon as we'd carry her out.  :(

How miserable does she look?
This was before the snow was up to her neck.

Thank goodness the temperature stayed above freezing Friday and Saturday and this mess is gone!

We're off to Gulfport this weekend to help Katie and Clay do some wedding planning!  SO looking forward to a trip home and seeing my family. :)

Ringing in the New Year...

Happy New Year!

The Best's spent the New Year with friends cheering on the Bulldogs in Jacksonville!  Yes, I convinced my Rebel loving husband to come along and believe it or not, he was actually a great sport.  Who knew?

We spent NYE with every other State fan at the DAWG POUND Party.  So fun!  I love getting to hang out with old friends.  Here are a few pictures from the night.

Loved the ice block when we walked in :)

The next day we got up early in preperation for a great game.  GO STATE!

52-14 ... not a bad way to ring in the New Year!

Before leaving Jacksonville we stopped by to meet my new niece.  My step-brother and sister-in-law just welcomed Leighton into the world Christmas Day!  :)

2011 is off to a great start and I'm so excited about everything the future holds for us!
